The Children and Families Act 2014 introduced a new model of assessing and developing plans for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). The Education, Health and Care (EHC) Assessment Team support the assessment through multiagency working and by producing high quality EHC plans for children and young people with SEND from the age of 0 to25 years.

We are now recruiting for an EHC Plan Writer. The purpose of this role will be to assist the EHC Co-ordinators. The Co-ordinators will gather all the information and the plan writer’s role will be to write the Education Health and Care plan.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a vibrant and busy team that coordinate the statutory assessment of children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities and liaise with other professionals to develop and review high quality EHC Plans.

The successful candidate will need to have a good standard of Maths and English. Also a desirable would be to have some knowledge of SEN and working with families.

Experience of report writing and working in partnership with education providers and other professionals is desirable. We're also looking for excellent communication skills
