Our adoption service has recently changed - Together for Adoption is the new Regional Adoption Service bringing together the very best adoption services for Cheshire West and Chester, Halton and WWISH.  Our Adoption Service, which is part of Together for Adoption, has the following vacancy:
 
Permanent full time position as Senior Social Worker - initially as a secondment post to Wigan Council
 
The successful candidate will be required to have post qualifying experience in child care social work, preferably with direct experience of Adoption or fostering work; they will play a vital role in the management structure of our enthusiastic, experienced and motivated Adoption Team as we continue to develop our new service. Knowledge of current child protection policies and procedures is essential, as is experience of working with children and families.  The successful candidate will preferably have experience in the supervision of Social Workers and or Support Workers
 
The successful candidates will hold a Degree in Social Work, Diploma in Social Work, CQSW, CSS or equivalent and be registered with the HCPC as a Social Worker. An enhanced DBS disclosure will be necessary.

The contractual work location for this role is listed above however, this job role is a mobile worker and this means that the successful candidate will be required to work from a range of work locations within the Borough including work from a range of sites across the Borough and also across the new regional area.
