An exciting opportunity has come up to work within the Performance, Quality and Improvement Team at MHCC
As the Serious Incident Manager you will be responsible for the performance management of serious incidents within commissioned providers ensuring that MHCC meets all the requirements as set out in the national guidance- Serious Incident Framework (2015).
Key Responsibilities and duties
• Management of serious incidents within commissioned providers to ensure they meet all requirements as set out in the Serious Incident Framework (2015)
• Development, implementation and monitoring of the serious incident policy, framework and procedure for the commissioning organisation.
• Manage the process of Serious Incidents through the internal Serious Incident Operational Panel
• Ensuring the MHCC management of all serious incidents meets local, regional and national guidance
• Producing regular reports for Committees and Boards on serious incidents
• Development, implementation and monitoring of a framework for collating concerns from other providers and addressing any themes identified through this process
• Identification of serious incident themes and improvements that need to be made to address these.
• Provide patient safety and risk advice with respect to the serious incident process
• Provide support to the Serious Incident Team
• Line management of the Serious Incident Officers
