Tameside’s Operations and Greenspace Service is seeking to recruit an Environmental Maintenance Operative, to be part of a team carrying out a range of tasks and operations that maintain and improve the quality of the local environment.

You should have experience of working with powered and mechanical equipment such as grass mowers, strimmers, and hedgecutters and also experience of tasks related to the maintenance of parks and green spaces. A full current driving licence and the ability to work outdoors and in all weather conditions is an essential requirement of the post.

The nature of the post involves working annualised hours, currently being 41.5 hours a week through the Spring and Summer months and 28.5 hours a week through the Autumn and Winter. The post will be based at Hyde Depot although you will be expected to work from other Council depots as necessary
