SENIOR CALL CENTRE OPERATOR

Salary Grade D: SCP 7 £19,554 – SCP 10 £20,751

36 Hours per week, Permanent

Location: Stalybridge Civic Hall


The Council is committed to providing a high quality service to its customers and aims to satisfy enquiries at first point of contact.

This is an exciting opportunity for a committed, well-motivated individual to join our Contact Centre Team to deliver a high quality service and support the Council’s vision. The role is a full-time position. As a Senior Contact Centre Operator you will assist in the effective management of a customer services team, you will deal with escalated calls from Call Centre Operatives, support the Team Leader in your daily role and supervise the team in the absence of the Team Leader.

You will work as part of a friendly team in a lively environment dealing with a wide range of customer enquiries.

The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic with a good telephone manner, good IT knowledge with the ability to communicate effectively. You must also be able to respond to customers in a role of authority and adapt to the needs of all customers, experience of any supervisory, training or motivating staff skills would be advantageous.

A commitment to providing excellent customer service is essential.

Good interpersonal skills are required and ability to use initiative.

Although the position is advertised as being based at Stalybridge Civic Hall, working from home must be possible and social distancing must be adhered too, full support and training will be given.
