POLICY, PERFORMANCE & COMMUNICATIONS

2 X PERFORMANCE AND INTELLIGENCE LEADS

36 hours per week, Permanent

Grade I/ Band 7 - £34,106 to £37,107 per annum

Located at Dukinfield Town Hall, King Street, SK16 4LA

We are looking for two highly motivated individuals to join us helping to drive forward a range of policy, performance and communications work.

Tameside Council and Tameside and Glossop Clinical Commissioning Group part of the Greater Manchester devolution programme are at the forefront of nationally significant transformation and this post is designed to offer the successful candidate the opportunity to work in a busy joint Council and CCG team.

We are looking to the future with energy and ambition, and constantly looking for new ways to work with local people to build better services for our communities. We are at the heart of reform across the sector and are positioning ourselves to make the most of future economic growth across the Greater Manchester conurbation and beyond.

We are currently putting together ambitious plans to grow and develop Tameside and Glossop and looking for somebody to join our Policy, Performance & Communications team to help drive this work forward.

You will be at the cutting edge of developments across the sector and will gain a wide range of skills and experiences. We would particularly welcome applications from those who are interested in putting forward ideas, constructing supporting arguments, actively evaluating evidence and communicating the plans to local residents and the wider community.

You will be expected to work independently as part of a busy team, working closely with Senior Managers, Elected Councillors NHS Governing Body Members and Partners such as the Police and Housing Associations. You will be supported and offered a structured programme of development aimed at supporting you in your future career.

Skills and Experience required:
• Excellent data interrogation, intelligence and analytical skills
• Excellent writing and critical evaluation skills
• The ability to develop and present creative approaches to problems
• Knowledge of Children’s services, Adult Social Care and/ or NHS datasets and intelligence approaches
• Ability to work independently and in a fast paced environment
• A strong academic background
• Good attention to detail
