An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Employment and Skills Service to support people with mental health conditions into employment as part of the innovative Living Life Well Programme initially based in Hyde before being incrementally rolled out to all of Tameside. The role is part time, 25 hours per week.

This is a unique and exciting opportunity to truly make a difference to the mental health support offer in Tameside. The role involves providing employment coaching support to individuals with complex mental health needs to; build skills and attributes to find and move into employment, keep well in work and sustain employment,.

As Employment Officer you will be part of a neighbourhood mental health team, supported by the Tameside Council Routes to Work team making a real difference to people’s lives working within the new Living Life Well Programme. The Routes to Work team supports adults with a disability or mental health condition.

We’re looking for a committed individual, who is motivated by the potential to make a difference to the lives of people and their communities. A strong understanding of individuals with multifaceted needs including serious mental illness is required for this role.
