INVESTMENTS MANAGER (PRIVATE MARKETS)

Grade: K - £46,634 to £50,417 per annum, Full Time, Permanent

The Greater Manchester Pension Fund is one of the largest UK pension funds with total investment capital of over £24 billion under management.

The fund has a vacancy within its growing investment team and is looking for an individual capable of playing an important part in achieving the best possible investment returns over coming years which will be vital to the continuing success of the fund and the ability to offer a high quality pension scheme to its members.

The post requires strong analytical skills, thoroughness, tenacity and an ability to work independently.

Experience and professional qualifications relating to investment, commercial banking or accountancy will be an advantage.

INVESTMENTS MANAGER (PRIVATE MARKETS)

The vacancy exists within the Private Markets Investment team. Working with some of the world’s leading alternative investment managers, the successful candidate will contribute to the management of a £4bn alternatives portfolio, investing across private equity, private credit, infrastructure and special situations. The role will report to the Head of Pensions Investment and will be responsible for undertaking detailed diligence in respect of prospective investment opportunities, contributing to broader strategy matters and day-to-day operational management and monitoring of investment portfolios.

This is an attractive opportunity for an individual with existing investment experience to contribute to the management of one of the UK’s largest alternative investment programmes with commensurate levels of responsibility and scope for professional development.

The selection process is likely to require candidates to undertake certain online testing prior to interview.
