BUILDING CONTROL TEAM MANAGER
36 hrs. - £42,209 - £46,552 - Grade K

This is a great time to join Tameside Council as we look to invest in our Building Control service to gear up for future development opportunities that are planned in the borough.

We are therefore looking to recruit a qualified (RICS / CABE), experienced and enthusiastic building control professional to lead and manage the team which is currently dealing with a range exciting development and regeneration projects across the borough. We’ve already invested in new IT and the successful candidate will also have an opportunity to recruit staff and work with the Head of Planning to shape the way the service operates.

We are looking for a candidate with management experience, possibly at Senior or Principal level, excellent technical knowledge and a good understanding of IT systems.

Experience of building control trading accounts, implementing new working practices and leading on business development would also be beneficial.

In return, we can offer a permanent position, competitive salary, options for further training and a great place to live and work only a short distance from both Manchester City Centre and the Peak District National Park.
